Here comes the most
attractive aspect of Linda Ikeji’s Story. Linda Ikeji started her blog in 2006
with no particular intention of online money making. In that same year, another
popular Nigerian blog, Bella Naija carried a stay about Linda herself and for
the first time, she began to see a new possibility to take her writing to the
world. She started blogging fully in 2007. Her blog posts feature the latest
society gossip, celebrity talk, entertainments and about her personal life. Her
blog continues to attract thousands of visitors, it took her four years to
start making money from blogging. Indeed, she was patient enough.
Today, estimates revealed
her blog’s income stack up to $65,000 every month. How did this actually
happen?
It happened with a free
blog from Google’s Blogger.com, a knack for gossip and less than perfect
writing skills, Linda was able to start a business with literally no start up
and running costs. Her blog has become one of the top visited websites in
Nigeria and arguably, the most successful and influential social platform in
her country.
