Bovi Ugboma popularly known as ‘Bovi’ is a Nigerian comedian, producer, director and actor.  He was born on 25th September 1979 in Benin City. After he completed his primary and secondary education, he proceeded to Delta state university where he studied theatre arts.
He started his career in 2004 when he worked as an assistant to the popular actor Richard Mofe Damijo who trained and mentored him for a period of two years before he went ahead to set up his own production team in 2006.

His comedy career kicked off in 2007 when airing his popular sitcom extended family which he starred in and produced. He has also featured in shows like ‘nite of a thousand laugh’ and basket mouths ‘lord of the ribs’. Presently, he has his own production company that deals with television production, films and events.
He has won Comedian of the year at the Culture People Awards and the Ghana Awards. He has also won Best Youth Comedian at the Stand up Comedians Award.

Bovi has TV shows since 2007. He got two nominations for the maiden Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for best actor in Comedy and Best Writer category for his efforts in The Bovi Ugboma Show. He also had his first stand-up comedy show in 2013 titled ‘Bovi - Man on Fire’. But unlike most other shows, this was a solo stand-up comedy show. He is one of the richest comedians in the industry with a net worth of about 750million naira.  Most of his wealth can be attributed to events, tours and adverts. Bovi can be referred to one of the most successful comedians in the industry due to his ability to stay trendy and relevant.
