Genevieve Nnaji is a top Nigerian actress, singer and entrepreneur that has been able to build a reputable career for herself as an actress and as a successful business woman. She is not a strange face or name in the Nigerian movie industry and she has been able to make some career and business decisions that has given her a place among the successful celebrity entrepreneurs in not only Nigeria but in Africa as a whole.

Nnaji was born on the 3rd of May 1979, She attended Methodist Girls College (Yaba, Lagos), before transferring into the University of Lagos. While at the university, she began auditioning for acting jobs in Nollywood. She started her acting career as a child actress in the then popular television soap opera RIPPLES at the age of 8. In 1998 at the age of 19 she was introduced into the growing Nigerian film industry with the movie "Most Wanted". In 2004 she signed a recording contract with EKB Records, a Ghanaian record label, and released her debut album ONE LOGOLOGO LINE, a mix of R&B, Hip-Hop and Urban music. She is said to be one of the most paid and the most successful actress in Nigeria.

Aside from acting, she has been able to venture into other lucrative businesses successfully. She has featured in many commercials as a model and she has been able to get many sponsorship and endorsement deals. Some of the commercials she has featured include the PRONTO beverage commercial and the OMO detergent commercials. In 2004, she became the face of LUX soap, which is another very profitable sponsorship deal. In 2008, she launched her own clothing line ‘St. Genevieve’. She has endorsement deals with AMSTEL MALTA, ETISALAT, JUMIA and so on.
