Iniobong Edo Ekim popularly known as Ini Edo is a Nigerian actress, born on the 23rd April 1984. She began her film career in 2000, and has featured in more than 200 movies since that time. Edo is a Theatre Arts graduate of the University of Calabar.

Her first movie role can be dated back to 2003 (Thick Madam) and she has featured in over 100 movies since then. She was uncovered by a producer at an audition she attended, impressed by Ini’s performance, he gave her a new role in his movie. Ini gave the role her best and since then, it’s been one movie role to the other until she climbed the ladder of success.
In 2013, she was announced as judge for the Miss Black Africa UK Pageant. Due to her philanthropic gestures, the United Nations appointed her as the United Nations Habitat Youth Envoy.

She is a 2014 Giama nominee for best actress, female's viewer’s choice and best comedic act, also nominated for the Bon Awards, Nollywood Movies Awards, Future Awards, and others. She is a winner of the 2013 NAFCA Award for best actress (Weekend Getaway).

After working her way to the Top-List in Nollywood with over sixty movies to her credit, Ini Edo has proven to be one of the popular and talented actresses in Nollywood. Apart from her acting career, she’s also participating in charitable trust, despite her busy work schedule, she carves out time and energy to visit and assist the less fortunate in the society.

Presently, she has a political appointment to serve as the special adviser to the governor of her state (Akwa Ibom State) on Tourism. She is one of the actresses who have seized the opportunity of being on the screen to achieve success on many fronts.
