Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon (born 6 December 1993), popularly known Reekado Banks, is a Nigerian recording artist, singer and songwriter. He is currently
signed to Mavin Records. He went
by the stage name Spicy prior to his record deal with Mavin
records. He is a graduate of the University
of Lagos with a degree in History and Strategic Study. He was
discovered by Mavin records from an online talent hunt where his talent was
selected among over 5000 submissions. He is one of the most talented and most
recognised young performers in the industry today.
Reekado Banks featured
with his label mates Don Jazzy, Korede Bello, Tiwa Savage, Di'Ja, Dr
SID and D'Prince in the hit song "Dorobucci", which was released on 1 May 2014. A song that topped various charts all through
the year and beyond. He has also worked with his label mates to release
the collaborative singles "Adaobi", "Arise" and "Looku
Looku". On 13 February 2015, he released the Don Jazzy produced song
"Katapot".
In 2015,
he got an endorsement deal with the Nigeria telecommunication company Globacom. He was declared the Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2014 and won the controversial Next Rated award at The
Headies 2015. The fast rising star who is said to
charge up to 1 million naira for a show is one of the young artistes in the
industry who is working effortlessly to develop his talent and build his career
to success even at his young age.
